There are a variety of web sites that are focused on Community Corrections, Drug Courts, and Probation & Parole containing valuable information (including upcoming events, latest research, available grants, and additional services) that might be useful to you.

  • 2004 Resource Guide for Drug Court Applications: The goal of the Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program is to help states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop and establish drug courts for substance-abusing adult and juvenile offenders.
  • The Administration for Children and Families - This page has links to the Child Care, Children's, and Family and Youth Services Bureaus within the Administration. Each Bureau then has a home page with a link to grant programs.
  • American Probation & Parole Association: American Probation and Parole Association is an international association actively involved with probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both adult and juvenile sectors including all levels of government, local, state/provincial and federal agencies. 
  • The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) - CFDA offers free access to a database of all Federal programs available to: State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. After you find the program you want, contact the office that administers the program and find out how to apply.

  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism A direct link to NIAAA's grant and funding page.
  • National Association of Drug Court Professionals: The National Association of Drug Court Professionals seeks to reduce substance abuse, crime and recidivism by promoting and advocating for the establishment and funding of Drug Courts and providing for collection and dissemination of information, technical assistance, and mutual support to association members.
  • National Center for State Courts: The National Center for State Courts provides information and assistance to court leaders that helps them better serve the public.

  • National Institute of Corrections: The NIC web site provides online access to documents, training materials, and video streams; hosts Internet-based networks for corrections; and offers links to major corrections-related web sites.
  • National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center: The National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC) system serves as the "honest broker" offering support, research findings, and technological expertise to help State and local law enforcement and corrections personnel perform their duties more safely and efficiently.
  • National Institute of Justice: The NIJ is the research, development, and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice and is dedicated to researching crime control and justice issues.
  • Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention: The OJJDP supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families.

  • Rapid Funding Mechanism from NIAAA - A new rapid funding process from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) is available for research on interventions to prevent or reduce alcohol related problems among college students. This rapid mechanism will allow applications to be sent out within 6 weeks of an identified event and allows up to $200,000 in direct costs per year.
