APPA is at the vanguard in exploring issues relevant to the field of community-based corrections. American Probation and Parole Association is an international association composed of individuals from the United States, its US territories and Canada; actively involved with probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both adult and juvenile sectors including all levels of government, local, state/provincial and federal agencies.

NLECTC's Innovative Technologies for Community Corrections Conference
June 13th-15th, 2005 - Seattle, Washington

Each year the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center's Rocky Mountain Regional Center sponsors a conference and exhibition to convey technology information to community corrections professionals. The goal of the conference is to spotlight the innovative use of technology in community corrections and to introduce technologies on the horizon that may enhance an agency's mission performance.

Originally started as a combined effort of northeast chapters of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association, the organizers have included for the past five years the New England Chapter of the Clinical Ligand Assay Society and the Northeast Section of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. These additions have expanded the network and scope of available speakers, topics, and exhibitors. The Conference is offered as an educational benefit to the membership and guests of all three organizations AACC CLMA CLAS on a worldwide basis.
